Excellent explanation...I've doing a variation of this pose for years - now I know how to properly practice it - I think it's the perfect pose to learn for writers...
Because writers tend to sit far too long without really moving - that goes right into the hips (at least that's the case for me)... I also think something inside me clears whenever I take a break and go into a lunge pose (the variation) - the words tend to flow much better after that kind of break...it's like I released the muses inside me...
